After the success of 2007, LG Technologies was at Mido for the second time and aroused the ever-increasing interest of the eyewear machine-tool sector by introducing a new series of numerically-controlled work stations, expanding work on frames and presenting a quality- control measurement machine, which would lead to the creation of a complete production line for frames.
Enthusiastically received by visitors, the new machines comprise an ultrasound automatic hinging machine (YsYnger) with two guides activated by linear motors. A rotating and tilting device is mounted on each of the guides to correct the front piece of the eyewear during manufacture. The measurement and precise inspection of the mechanical dimensions of the temples and the positioning of the core is carried out by the X-ray measuring machine (YsY-Xray), a technology that allows measurements to be taken irrespective of temple color and material.
The development and optimization of YsY-fleX was also presented. New to the YsY-fleX XL are the fourth and fifth axes for manufacturing the front pieces. Combined with temple milling and other improvements, they aim to make the manufacturing process increasingly simpler and more flexible.
